Daicho is a refreshing character. He's self-confident and successful without the pretentious and egotistical baggage most similar manga characters present. He seems like a genuinely nice guy who is just really good at what he does.

Jadou: The Corrupt Path

Corporate espionage in the noodle biz. :D I got a kick out the plot. It's presented as a serious story, but is incredibly silly, and I kind of like that.

Life-saver Jailbreak: Doctor Enma

Rather interesting concept in the manga. Enma seems like a shallow character with a one track mind, but Kanon intrigues me. I'll keep reading future chapters just to discover her story, and her angle in this twisted plot.

SUMMERLESS

This manga is set in a brutal and violent post-apocalyptic world where the abuse of the poor by the wealthy is amplified. When the tables get turned on one prestigious individual, it's almost satisfying to see them discover such hardships for themself.

Split Story

This one shot manga really reflects on the struggle of recognizing self worth. I kind of wish it was longer so the characters' personas could be expanded upon.

Cow Girl

I feel like this author has a lot of unresolved issues. I hope creating this manga was a constructive outlet and beneficial for them.

OBLATION

I kind of like the rough art style, and I do like the fact that the manga is in full color. However, the characters are completely unlikable, whiny, and belligerent. I find myself more frustrated with their outburst than intrigued by the mystery.

The Class Rep's Glasses

That escalated quickly. From cute to near-inevitable doom. I guess the lesson here is listen to your doctors or forfeit your very soul. :D

PLAYBOY

I dig the art and the premise of this one shot manga, but I wish there were more. It creates an interesting setting, sets a plot in motion, and then... it ends in ice cream. :/

The Crayfish on the far side of the moon

Sometimes we are inspired. Other times we imagine our own motivations. If you work hard, you can obtain your goals. This is a short one shot manga with a fun style of art.

Yukimi Records

This little one shot manga reflects on enduring friendship and the power of sentiment. It's a really fun read.

Country Called America

I'll be honest, I can't tell if this manga is intended as a referendum against socialism or against capitalism, or both, or neither.

A Long Stay

This entire story is metaphorical, which I think allows it to be interpreted on many different levels from various perspectives. To me, it seemed to be a story about addiction -- doing something repeatedly, not understanding why, and struggling to move beyond it, and then repeating the cycle. The art is simple, and its an entertaining read, even being such an abstract story.

Great Ming Detectives

If you like nonstop action and combat, then this manga is for you. The vast majority of each chapter is invested into fight scenes or pursuits. The art it well detailed, and though there is little direct story (due to the constant action), it still manages to tell intriguing stories.

The artwork in this manga is very nice, and the story, though very detailed, works surprisingly well for a one shot. It would be interesting to see additional chapters, but the story does feel completed and self contained, which I enjoy. Also, who doesn't like a fresh cookie?

Journey To The West Girls

Amazing! If I could give this manga series more stars, I absolutely would. There's some next level stuff going on here -- from the fantastical story (with a very FLCL vibe), to the character and world design, to the incredible use of perspective and constant "Satoshi Kon"-esque scene transitions. The use of minimal color is done intelligently and intentionally, and the vertical flow of the pages is the best I've ever seen. Really, I can't heap enough praise upon Yuta Kayashima's work here. Just an amazing visual experience that's leaps and bounds ahead of contemporaries.

INTERPLANETARY INTERCOURSE

Interesting concept, but this seemed like more of a setup for an actual plot of an ongoing manga series, not a one shot. I didn't really get much out of the story. Very creative, and interesting art, but seems unfinished.

A fun and interesting premise for a manga. I really look forward to seeing additional chapters. I really like how the first three chapters seem to complete a story arc.

The Dim Memory of My Childhood

A relatively sad one shot manga. It certainly invoked quite a bit of empathy towards the protagonist.

The Childhood Friend and Unidentified Flying Object

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in noticing how much others are changing, we fail to see how much we've changed. I think this manga expresses that perfectly. Not very uplifting, but it is rather enlightening.

Golden Wind, Silver Bus

Hi! I’m a sunflower! Now I'm sad. Another endearing one shot manga by Keisuke Odagiri -- right in the feels. :/

Night Walk Faraway

I was really surprised by this one shot manga. It's a cute, heartwarming story wrapped around something very dark and ominous. The balance between innocence and the inevitable is really engaging. I'm actually pretty impressed the tone and vibe the creator set in such a short story.

The Delicious Food Taster

Fun, lighthearted one shot manga. I'm pretty sure there's a lesson wrapped up in the short plot somewhere, but I can't quite pin it down. Maybe it really is just about making friends.

The Night of No Return

Very strange, but in a good way. One of the most unique approaches to art I've seen in a one shot manga.

Quick one shot manga broken into slightly serialized chapters. Unique art style. I want to know the rest of the crow's story.

Starts a little slow at first, then gets good when the boxing and romance kicks in.

Curse of the Three Sisters

It was a cute and short read. I am not sure if they can continue it, but the art style was cute and the story itself was interesting. It is a good short horror story to read.

So this is what a real manga looks like...
Too bad the volumes get shorter and shorter as the story goes on.
I can't wait to see the continuation, but so far I'm really enjoying it! Looking forward to seeing what the final decision of the MC will be (despite the story showing intent in going one way, it could still be turned around in some way).

I have own the physical copy of the first chapter and I enjoyed it. I liked the dynamic between the two of them and how reversible they can be.

A Death Wish and An Alien

This was really sweet, with some heart-clenching moments. The only thing I wish was different was that there was a side-story, of sorts, that was interwoven throughout and it was a little confusing. Natsu's story would've been better off in a separate chapter.

BYTE

Very simple art. This manga presents a surreal perspective of monotony and those moments when those habitually accustom to routine begin to question why. It was a fun read.

I Want To Dance With Angels Too

I have to admit, I didn't expect this one shot manga to be so endearing. I expected something silly or maybe even demeaning, and instead got a heartfelt story about following one's dreams. Fun read.

WELCOME TO DIETROIT

I love the style of art in this manga, and the fact that it's in full color -- very vibrant despite it's dark subject matter. It's a nice contrast that really highlights the plot. I'm looking forward to more chapters soon!

The Vampires Next Door

Interesting style of art. Fun story, and I look forward to reading more about how the sisters learn and adapt to their new surroundings. I think there's more to that landlady than meets the eye. :)

Journey To The West Girls

Somewhat random, wacky and full of shenanigans. For the most part the only complaint I have is with the artwork at times is a bit...rough. Other than that it seems like a fun mini series to read through.

Flen In Black

This was a fantastic one shot manga. Fun art and fantastic plot. I would really like to see more manga featuring Flen, and learn more about her story, her ability, and see how her potential to grow emotionally works out.

Holy wow, that escalated quickly!! 8O I can honestly say I didn't see that coming. The story as all like, "cute... cute... cute... and, then , Wham!"

This is a really fun one shot manga that teaches some important life lessons. Hard work and perseverance are the true source of magic. :)

Memories of the Sand

Just the idea of carrying sand from the beach to your home as a way of carrying your memories back for the sake of a loved one who lacked the ability to visit the beach is quite a tragic story. Having this formatted into a fully colored manga with added drama gets all of my respect.

The Quill

This guy gets a new level of respect from me, going all the way to make a fully colored 50-pager with a compelling story like this. Bero has still got some secrets he hasn't shared yet. I hope that whoever he was aiming to meet up with, that he will reach there one day.

The Lunatic Capris Story of Sugar Blossom

I should start reading the longer ones. They tend to be better. Or is it just this author? I've read every single manga that this author has posted here now. And I can't wait for the next one. Keep up the good work, Odagiri-san!

This was a really sweet one, once again! The author never ceases to amaze me with their work. It was fun to read, the pacing was perfect, the story was interesting, and the art is on point like always.
