Really peaked my interest and I'm not one for this kind of stuff.

Cute slice of life with a smidge of drama. Really good read if you want to just chill out and read some fluff.

Yukimi Records

starstarstarstarstar_border
This one-shot was very cute and fluffy. I recommend it. It felt more like an extra chapter to a manga than a one-shot, though.

If you're looking for a great one-shot that will not make you think too deeply, then this is the one for you. If you're looking for a one-shot with a heavy storyline, then I'd recommend reading some other one-shots. :)

God Job

starstarstarstarstar_border
It's a different premise to other manga that is quite intriguing. It is quite the thriller which builds up tension well.

Passions Of Little Wet Mice

Amazing manga! Starts sweet then turns angsty then slowly back to sweet again. Art is beautiful and the story was enthralling. Loved this one so much!

Jadou: The Corrupt Path

starstarstarstar_borderstar_border
I didn't feel very invested in the characters as they kind of lacked layers of personality of me. But the art of the food is definitely well done.
thumb_up 4

What is your role? I watch.

starstarstarstarstar
This one-shot is one of the most saddest I've ever read. This one-shot makes you wonder how exactly the author came up with its story. The story is very unique!

I also love the pacing and the art in this story. The pacing is just right and the art conveys the characters' emotions well.

I HIGHLY suggest that you read this at one point in your life! :D

BAN-KING

starstarstarstarstar_border
It is a intense manga that is able to built up tension with it's quick pace but doesn't feel like the plot is rushed. It really engages the reader.
thumb_up 12

The Merchant King

starstarstarstarstar_border
I think it's quite a unique plot delving into the history of sales in Japan. It made such a mundane subject like that interesting.
thumb_up 2
Great novel I just wish more pages to keep reading ahhhh!!

thumb_up 2

Lost Youth

starstarstarstarstar_border
I only read the first chapter, but I will say this:

THE ART IS BEAUTIFUL!

Also, the storyline is very interesting. It is about a girl who loves her childhood friend (who is a jerk, by the way), and he's kind of a playboy. She lives with her roommate who's actually in love with her.

This story has hints of girl love and also some kissing scenes, so if you can handle it, you should try reading the first chapter!

Chika's Forest

starstarstarstarstar
This is sure a beautifully charming & engaging manga which is able to prompt the reader to experience a flurry of emotions.
thumb_up 7

It's Witching Time!

starstarstarstarstar_border
This is just a fun & easy read. It is a delightfully peculiar manga.
thumb_up 6

Chima-san's Trinket Box

starstarstarstarstar
I love the animation! It’s so cute and adorable! And it also has a really good sense of humor.
thumb_up 1

PLAYBOY

starstarstarstar_borderstar_border
Playboy was more of a beginning to a story rather than a full story. The plot lacked a climax. It tried to build up a story and not pay it off.

The art was unique, though, and the plot was interesting enough. If it had a climax and more of a falling action, it would've been better.

Although this one-shot lacks in the plot department a little, it isn't the worst manga I've read.
thumb_up 5

Rafute on the Roof

starstarstarstarstar
This is such a delightful manga that brings forth a childlike wonder to the reader.
thumb_up 7

Open Sesame

starstarstarstarstar

Chima-san's Trinket Box

starstarstarstarstar_border
This is an adorable manga that really gets more fun & zany as you continue one. You become really entertained by the hijinks of the characters.

Immoral

starstarstarstarstar_border
It is quite a beautiful manga that really evokes sympathy for the characters.
thumb_up 11

PLAYBOY

starstarstarstar_borderstar_border
I really liked the style, has a Butch Hartman feel to it. The story though sort of underwhelming.
thumb_up 2

Chima-san's Trinket Box

starstarstarstarstar_border
Kawaii and fun 4-koma manga. I love the art style, giving 4 stars since it is not the best I've seen but definitely worth a try.
thumb_up 1

Cooking

starstarstarstarstar_border
Didn't expect that. Was expecting it to be a children's story, I was wrong. Despite that it's still a cute story and worth a read.

I Cast My Mantle To The Air.

starstarstarstarstar
Wow. Other than the ending, this was AWESOME!

Patricia

starstarstarstarstar_border
Makes me think of Wizard of Oz if it were a horror. The art is simple but fun.
thumb_up 8
This is a magnificently illustrated manhu. The use of color is brilliant, and the story is engaging. I truly hope there will be additional chapters to this story.
thumb_up 7

Under Duress

starstarstarstar_borderstar_border
Wait...what....I just didn't get it =.=
thumb_up 1

Zanmu - Labyrinth -

starstarstarstarstar_border
The story seems to revolve around a rookie detective, who is being given fortunes that fit with his current cases. A plot twist here and there, as expected of a thriller, with a good amount of gore. Feels like to me his fortunes are more intentional than described, but I have read up to what I could. So far I enjoyed it. :)

Passions Of Little Wet Mice

starstarstarstarstar
Wow...just...wow.
thumb_up 1

Under Duress

starstar_borderstar_borderstar_borderstar_border
Aside from my earlier comment, this just did not grab me in any way. A cute girl on the front of the page, 'cause "sex sells" and that's about it... feels like just another marketing excuse, instead of a legit story.
thumb_up 1

Cooking

starstarstarstarstar_border
While it is somewhat difficult to follow this manga, it is still pretty enjoyable. A pleasant read if you're looking for a short story.
thumb_up 3

Chrysanthemum Boy

starstarstarstarstar
Some gifts can only be given once. This short one-shot manga is a beautiful rendition of an age-old parable.
thumb_up 11

Jose Rizal

starstarstarstarstar
Really great read! Chapters are pretty short but the art style is fantastic. As a Filipino, it’s great to see one of our national heroes get some recognition through some different form of media.
thumb_up 23

Patricia

starstarstarstarstar
Very creative plot. Good art style. Very spooky. I hope the main character can make it out alive, she doesn't deserve this! l Ihighly recommend to anyone interested in Gore and horror.
thumb_up 8

Repeating Your End Together

starstarstarstarstar
This is quite intriguing I like how we are not starting at the being of the main character getting her abilities but in the middle. The mangaka orchestrates time spectacularly which adds to mystery element & keeps the reader engaged.
thumb_up 2

God Job

starstarstarstarstar
So that's what it would be like if James Bond had become a plastic surgeon instead of a spy? :D
thumb_up 3

Shizumu: The Imaginary Girl

starstarstarstarstar_border
This is a really random manga that leaves you going wtf but in an amusing way. It is really cute & strange.

Diary of My Daily Failures

starstarstarstar_borderstar_border
I clicked Diary of My Daily Failures expecting a something quick and comical along with some deep meaning lightly layered in. From the simplistic cover art, I expected something in a 4koma style or near textless story telling.

Skimmed the synopsis and realized this probably isn't going to be to my liking. But I've learned again and again that the only way to know is to dive right into the content. Unfortunately, Diary of My Daily Failures doesn't grab my interest within the first few pages. (I skimmed all the way through chapter 2.)

The colors added to the simplistic art is a welcomed bonus, providing better visuals (to me) for reading fast. But the amount of text crammed into each panel does the opposite. (Not a fast read!) The content reads like some graphic memoirs/biographies I've tried reading before and those bored me.

Diary of My Daily Failures is probably good if you're into non-fiction / memoirs / autobiography / etc. But if you're not and seeking entertainment, it will mo

Diary of My Daily Failures

starstarstarstarstar
This is quite a engagingly quirky way the mangaka details with a serious topic of mental health. I like how this sort of dark story is off set with the bright neon colour, contrasting the situations really well.
thumb_up 2

First Stationers

starstarstarstarstar_border
This was a fun & easy read with quirky characters that being chuckle to me as a reader as they do mundane things. I commend the mangaka's ability to keep the audience entertained when the events are just normal & relatable.

Curse of the Three Sisters

starstarstarstarstar
Best thriller manga I've ever read! Really spooky ending though, I hope she gets her children back that is if they weren't always the three sisters. I loved the art style, it was very adorable. The plot is really good and I highly recommend to anyone who loves thriller and horror.

Passions Of Little Wet Mice

starstarstarstarstar
This is the best manga I have read here. Sadly too short, I wanted more!! SO CUTE AHHH!!!

First Stationers

starstarstarstarstar_border
This series is actually quite funny. I found myself laughing at many of the situstions. The situations portrayed are so relateable even if put in different settings. I wish I could insert screenshots. And there may be other better 4 koma out there like other reviewers said, but this is actually a good one and a great intro to that style of manga.

Yeah not a huge fan of cliffhanger's i would be if a had a fan though hehe
thumb_up 2

Patricia

starstarstarstarstar_border
This is a wonderfully gorey manga that really hypes up the mystery. The pacing is well done as the mangaka gradually depicts the intensity of the main character's situation.
thumb_up 8

Chrysanthemum Boy

starstarstarstarstar
This is a beautifully written and beautifully drawn manga that I highly recommend to anyone with an interest in the legend of the Fountain of Youth. I love that the Crysanthemum's choose who is worthy of the water because it makes it much more intriguing. It is a must read!
thumb_up 8

The Key In The Cage

starstarstarstarstar
This was a wonderful story with a heroic main character with a splash of science. I love when a main character goes against someone close to them to do what is right! Ended beautifully in only a few pages and the art style was gorgeous! I highly recommend to anyone.

Passions Of Little Wet Mice

I found this manga really fun to read it starts pretty lovely and sweet but it has a nice twist. Characters are relatable and overall is pretty pretty hot.
thumb_up 1

Pacified Storm

starstarstarstarstar
The greyscale art in this historically-themed manga is very well done. The style very clean and utilizes a lot of fine texturing to define depth and perspective. This is an era of Chinese history that I actually know very little about beyond a few paragraphs of text, and the story is an interesting prompt for me to take time to research further. I've enjoyed reading it very much so far.

I Don't Even Have Time to Live

starstarstarstarstar_border
I like this manga, I believe it portrays someone with depression very well. The only thing I can complain about the character is that I don't like that he believes that when an attractive person touches him it's because they feel he'd be happy to have someone like them touch him. It is a realistic mentality, but I don't want that to be a mentality that is shown to represent people with depression.

ARK

starstarstar_borderstar_borderstar_border
I'm not a fan of this kind of full digital color drawings. The narration is weird and the story isn't very interesting. I feel like I've read this kind of things plenty of times in western comic books. Maybe I'll give it a second chance, but for now it's one of the least interesting manga I've read on the site.
thumb_up 9
I personally am not a fan of the art style, and the story is a bit strange. It's nice that its a one-shot so you can read all of it in one go, and its nice that everything gets explained in the end.

Shokudama

starstarstarstarstar
I like it! It's kind of light-hearted and funny, and after reading the 3 available chapters, you sort of gain an understanding of the plot.
