Kotonoha

starstarstarstarstar_border
Short and sweet. Kotonoha is a short yuri story about love lost and re-found. With beautiful art and heart felt moments, it will help over any fan of the genre who is looking for more. Definitely worth the read.

Patricia

starstarstarstarstar_border
Patricia is an interesting story, with some interesting plot points surrounding its protagonist and her relation with the events transpiring around her, while it is still early to say such there are inklings of a deeper plot that is intriguing.

Under Duress

A decent premise that can show some promise depending where they decide to go from it. Story has some ground to expand on.

Under Duress

A little slow in the beginning, but somewhat unique.

Cases and Then Some

starstarstarstarstar_border
If you like boy on boy love and love the usual tropes, you will see more of the same in the first two chapters.

Passions Of Little Wet Mice

Gourmet Glutton

This author has multiple good series on this site, and this one is my favorite one. I like how earnest and determined the main character is, and it's fun to learn more about the world of professional eating.

Diary of My Daily Failures

starstarstarstarstar
Personally I think it’s really great of the writer to be able to write down her experience to share with others. I know people tend to experience these issues in different ways but someone talking about it is helpful to others going and dealing with their own. Also it’s interesting to get to see how different countries handle the issue of treating mental illness since different cultures tend to look at it differently. I hope the writer continues her work it’s a really great read so far.

Goodbye Pumpkin

There is something to be said about a short story, and I am glad to read this short story of manga. A cute story, though the romance was a bit confusing (and slightly worrying).

It's Witching Time!

starstarstarstarstar
This was a very charming series overall. Sometimes, a story doesn't need to be complex or long to be enjoyable. This was sort of like a short little snack, with just the right amount of flavor.

Patricia

starstarstarstar_borderstar_border
Was expecting another one of those end of the world/zombie invasion type of story... but it's SLIGHTLY different. However, still has the generic story type of feeling and nothing really stands out.
thumb_up 2

Chika's Forest

starstarstarstarstar_border
I really love the spirits/fairies and the girl who discovers again more and more of her memories. But I think... There's something slow or flat in the beginning (I just red the free chapters for now)
The simple art style is cute, I'll read more✨

Genetic Potential

starstar_borderstar_borderstar_borderstar_border
I didn’t really understand it because it seemed boring to me from the first chapter. Can’t say its worth a read for me personally, but that’s why you get a free ticket to try the first chapter for yourself right?

The Little School Nurse That Could

starstar_borderstar_borderstar_borderstar_border
As an actual nurse, I must say the series is ridiculous and lacking. It isn't even good for an ecchi.

Aiming to Please

starstar_borderstar_borderstar_borderstar_border
Seemed like a normal girl doing her job. I didn’t really like or see the appeal from one chapter.

Do You Take this Man?

starstar_borderstar_borderstar_borderstar_border
I only read the first chapter and I already hate it. It seems like a man is cheating on her friend and the girl involved is okay with it?! That’s not okay. She should tell her friend so she and her friend can get rid of the creep. Ugh!

EQUITES

starstarstarstarstar_border
Good start! Equites does have pretty good art with an amateurish feel to it (not necessarily a bad thing), however the pacing seems a little bit fast with but that may change as the story progresses. The light shonen tone of the story is comparable to most other well known shonen and is an easy read that allows you to breeze through chapters.
thumb_up 20
I like the art style. Interesting story.
thumb_up 3

Kotonoha

starstarstarstarstar_border
It's a good story, cute in some moments, a little short, but what it's showed has the right time and the end isn't rushed. If you wanna read something good and doesn't have so much time, it's the best.
thumb_up 2
Few chapters in, and it's not too bad. Usually things like this end up boring, but it's nice to read if you have time!
thumb_up 3

Daily Life in 8 Pages

starstarstarstar_borderstar_border
light-hearted and a bit comedic, but even for a one-shot I feel the stories are too simple.

Under Duress

starstarstar_borderstar_borderstar_border
So this series seems like it one of those going for shock factor at first then tell you what happened later. Since the beginning is very forced and just has no really good reason as to why this is happening. Ended up dropping since most of the "hentai" is justnot really there might be later, but if I wanted to read something like this they should have just gone full out and made it a h-doujin. Ended up dropping this.

So far, I'm eagerly awaiting the next chapter! The story depicts more darker themes like child abuse, but the main characters are so precious. I really hope they get a happy ending!

Sinner

starstarstarstar_borderstar_border
While the premise of this manga is not completely original, it does have imagination and an interesting concept - similar to Minority Report but with it's own unique twist . However, the characters aren't fleshed out very well and they quickly become unrelatable and generic. The story jumps timelines which would've help fleshed out a more interesting world and characters but the execution is confusing at times. I really feel this Manga would've greatly benefited from having more developed characters and a better understanding of their motivations, I understood the suffering they endured but struggled to understand what exactly drove them and to what end goal.
thumb_up 2
Art isn't the greatest but isn't bad; story slightly predictable but it isn't horrible. Definitely not by thing though but will rate it as neutral for me.

Stories from the Shopping District

starstarstarstarstar_border
The premise is interesting, and it makes me wonder how would they would even make their relationship work? The series is not complete here yet, so I can't give a full review, but from what I read, I am intrigued to read more.

The Key In The Cage

starstarstarstarstar
A quite unique one-shot manga with a charming, sketchy art style and a strong message. All is pretty much written in the synopsis, but I recommend reading this anyway. Many should learn from The Key In The Cage how to write short, but impactful stories and I'm looking forward to more manga from Shino Matsuda!

Kotonoha

starstarstarstar_borderstar_border
Kotonoha is a simple GL story of two high school sweethearts splitting ways and finding one another as adults. The art is very pretty and charming, and the story itself is more or so realistic, but I find it to be too short with its two chapters and the "conflict" was dealt with too quickly.

In the end, I still found this to be a refreshing addition to the Yuri genre as I wish we had more down-to-earth, lifelike LGBT+ manga in general.

I qm invested in the story. Its a must read.

The Key In The Cage

starstarstarstarstar_border
The front illustration caught my eye. It's definitely beautiful. The art from the rest of the manga isn't perfect, but still good. The story is beautiful as well. The only thing I didn't like is that the last part was too rushed, a couple of extra pages wouldn't have been bad.
thumb_up 2

Oda and Hototogi

starstarstarstarstar_border
This was a cute One Shot. I just wish there was more development between them instead of just ending it soon after they interact with each other.
thumb_up 2
A very dark and relatable read, this gives a perfect representation of the daily life of someone with Anxiety and Depression trying to cope and survive with each daily interaction and struggling to get by.

Sinner

starstarstarstar_borderstar_border
Creating new and intriguing Action/Thriller manga is not an easy task, and sadly, Kye's Sinner leaves a lot to be desired. As others have written, the mangaka seems to be passionate about his work, but the writing is pretty average, the rebels don't truly have a clear goal, and characters are not developed enough. The pacing is not fast enough in certain chapters for an Action manga, and some small story bits are drawn out too much instead of moving the story forward, like...

*Minor Spoiler*
The Gender chapter... I mean, just from the cover alone, I think it's clear Mitsui is a 17 years old tomboyish female. If she was drawn more masculine or ambiguous, it would make more sense for Asaya and the others to mistake her for a boy. Apart from a bit of comic relief, was 40 pages really necessary for this chapter as the way it was written?
*Minor Spoiler End*

We have not yet reached the big finale yet, but I don't think it will save the story. I do believe, however, that with its initial p

Kitty Kafé: Cats in Heat

starstarstarstar_borderstar_border
After reading the first chapter, my impression is mixed. The premise and art are okay, and the characters have potential to develop in interesting ways (at least the first chapter hints that they'll all be developed further). But there is a clear rush to set up relationships that requires you to ignore the characters non-reactions to events that usually would be seen as important, threatening, or at least something someone would react to in a big way.

Shizumu: The Imaginary Girl

starstarstarstarstar
I can't really explain why, but I enjoy this manga. It has this weirdness that just draws you in. It all seems like nonsense, but some part of me makes me think, "Yeah, in a way, this kind of makes sense to me. I just can't explain why it makes sense." Maybe there's a deeper meaning to some of this. Who knows?
