A Classroom Bereft of Angels

This has just filled me with such excitement, for I still haven’t reached the end, but wonder how it finishes. This is also when you question, were any of them really angels or in the right? It is legitimately a classroom lacking angels as the title says.

A MARRIAGE FIT FOR A SINNER

Overall, this was pretty sweet. Both our leads are from dysfunctional families so we have that, but hers is especially despicable. After kicking her out, they find a use for her and pull her back in. The hero has a legitimate axe to grind, and that's his tool to snag her back. But what follows is nice, even as she is caught in a emotionally torturous vice between father and hero, the hero is mentally clearing up misunderstandings and separating love from revenge. It leads to a rather satisfying end, and even includes a sweet miracle for good measure.

CALLAGHAN'S BRIDE

I was disappointed with the end. There were a lot of thing I expected to get wrapped up that weren’t. POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOLLOW: We get his back story, but never get an actual explanation for why SHE puts him in a perpetual bad mood. We are left to guess. And then, after all the heartbreak, by he never apologizes or shows any real remorse. He seems to think his forceful, belated ‘I love you’ covers ALL his sins, and, of course, it does. And we never even get confirmation she will get to bake him a birthday cake in the future which would have been a hugely symbolic gesture showing he had put his past behind him. That particular instance was such a big piece of the plot that it should have been given resolution. One sentence would have done it. “Will you bake me a birthday cake next year?” But instead they talk about biscuits and apple butter. To be fair, biscuits were a bit piece of the plot, but why talk about preferences when you can show character growth and the promise of

Meh. The mother of the male lead is too pushy and foolish.If there's something I dislike are mothers that want to push their sons to get married, even to good ladies. It's annoying. I would have preferred if the main characters got to know each other without parental interferences. Oh well. The art is good. The story? So-so, IMHO. Honestly regret purchasing this one. Meh.

AN INNOCENT MAID FOR THE DUKE 2

What in the world?! Why does the cover show the characters in periodic clothes, but the story inside is in modern times (women in pants and working)! Makes no sense!!! I'm looking for periodic historical romances, not modern ones! Feel cheated!!

THE MERRY GENTLEMAN

Oh! This was one entertaining story! I honestly wished it was longer (2 manga chapters) with more "fights" between the main characters and more funny panic scenes between the male lead and his friend! Those were hilarious!!! LOL!! I tried reading the original novel, but is not as funny as this manga. Manga artists are the best, always! Highly recommended if you want some stupidity jokes among your romance!

MY LORD PROTECTOR

Awww... such sappy romance! It was also cute in many aspects. I'm happy to find this HQ manga here and not on other sites were the puritan feminazis would start badmouthing the fact that the ML is 20 years older than the FL. Give me a break! The FL is an adult, she's in her 20s and she can decide who she wants to be with. Geez. Even my older brother is more than 20 years older than my sister-in-law and they love each other. As long as it's between consenting adults, love is love. Very cute story. I really enjoyed it, along with all the sappy romance! LOL!

A Princely Dilemma

Aw, this was utterly cute. Darn, the old family members and the younger siblings of the main characters are horrible mean people!!!! LOL But the male lead defended his wife and that is a plus in my book. Is a very simple story with barely any real drama, but the realization of the main characters that not only they could be friends, they loved each other very much! Love it and the art is gorgeous as well!! Another favorite.

A NOBLE MAN

Enjoyed this one very much!! Benedict (male lead) is a sweetheart and his younger brother is funny as heck! Enjoyed their shenanigans to get the female lead to fall for Benedict LOL I also enjoyed that the villain hurt the male lead once. Would have preferred more "danger" for the male lead, but that's because I'm a sucker for having thenmale leads suffer. I'm weird that way.

THE BROODING DUKE OF DANFORTH

The art is gorgeous, but the plot is ridiculous and most if the characters are annoying as heck. Another "novel" that I regret purchasing. Oh well.

THE SHADOWED HEART

So-so. Love the art and the characters were interesting... but the main plot was kind of ridiculous and it was solved far too quick! Barely any suspense. The story could have been worked better if it would have been longer like some other stories. Oh well. Purchase for the "eye-candy", I guess.

A PROMISE TO KEEP

A Christmas Love story, so corny and sickening sweet you will end up with diabetes. Most of the characters were annoying as heck, specially the employees at the house. Regret purchasing this one. Oh well. Look at it at your own risk.

THE GUARDIAN'S VIRGIN WARD(colored version)

The art is very pretty and I do like the story's premise. I'm only 5 chapters in and I'm seeing a lot of problematic behavior.
- constant sl*t shaming of the main character
- a really gross power imbalance
- toxic control issues

Amongst a few other things. I don't really recommend it

ANNE'S PERFECT HUSBAND

Love it!!! Finally found an historical Harlequin in which the male lead is hurt and is believable living with serious injuries!!! I prefer my male leads to be the ones in suffering instead of the female leads being the tiresome damsel-in-distresss!! One of my favorites so far!

BEAUTY AND THE BEASTMASTER

It's definitely interesting? The guy is still super in the wrong with the whole tiger situation (not trained to deal with tigers, locking the woman in the car with said tiger, etc etc) but it's a good read

Highly recommend this one! It's different from the usual Harlequin comics just because it stars police officers and it's a very happy read! The characters are very cute. Definitely worth the coins to read
