Typical shojo romance where the main drama comes from the couple being unable or unwilling to communicate with each other. As a Japanese woman, I understand that stoicism is part of public face, and that for young relationships being emotionally honest can be difficult, but it's very hard to believe that childhood friends would not be able to communicate or intuit one another's feelings. They are honest about their positive feelings, but can't seem to express some of the fears and jealousies in their burgeoning romance. The art is appealing, and I like some of the characterization, but it doesn't stand out from the pack.

Chima-san's Trinket Box

So this manga is one of the Yonkoma mangas out there that attempts to develop a strong story, and it really does manage to make a cute, adorable, funny little story; the intro parts help with the construction an building too. The lighthearted plot, and the cute motif of trinkets makes this manga especially cute and it really brings out the minor aspects of a person, such as Chima-san's craftsman ship; Toriko's ambitions and her will; and Yukimiya's little cute outbursts. This manga is pretty well made and I would recommend it to a lot of people, although it could be improved on by giving some characters more 'flesh' and exploring the background, but as a nice Yonkoma manga, it does a pretty good job.
