Overall, this was pretty sweet. Both our leads are from dysfunctional families so we have that, but hers is especially despicable. After kicking her out, they find a use for her and pull her back in. The hero has a legitimate axe to grind, and that's his tool to snag her back. But what follows is nice, even as she is caught in a emotionally torturous vice between father and hero, the hero is mentally clearing up misunderstandings and separating love from revenge. It leads to a rather satisfying end, and even includes a sweet miracle for good measure.
